Monsters and aliens and tribbles - Oh my! TrekMovie.com is teaming up with TREK STAR: The Doug Drexler Documentary to celebrate all things spooky and Trekkie with an Online Halloween Costume Celebration. Participants can join via Instagram, and will be randomly selected to win prizes like a screen-used prosthetic Worf Nose from “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” a spooky limited edition Doug Drexler illustration, and an actual screen-used piece of space… The final frontier.
Fans can join the fun From October 27 till 6PM PST on Saturday, November 1st (EXTENDED!), by posting a photo of themselves in a Star Trek-themed costume on Instagram with the hashtag #TrekStarHalloween. The photo can be from any time, be it your childhood, at a convention years ago, or Halloween Night - Whenever! Three participants will be selected at random to receive the Trek-themed prizes supplied by the TREK STAR Kickstarter campaign. And on the morning of November 1st, after all the Zombie Vulcans, Redjacks and Holographic Clowns have had a good night’s sleep, costumes will be reviewed and celebrated by legendary “Star Trek: The Next Generation” makeup artist Doug Drexler. Will your costume be honored as “DREXLER’S FAVORITE?”

Didn’t make a costume this year, but still want the Worf Nose? Not to worry! All of these prizes are available as Backer Rewards and Add-Ons on the Kickstarter campaign for TREK STAR: The Doug Drexler Documentary. Fans can back the project and claim a screen-used prosthetic Klingon nose, a piece of the starfield backdrop from outside Ten-Forward, actual Vulcan Ear Tips, screen-used props, autographed Trek memorabilia and more!
#TrekStarHalloween also highlights Doug Drexler’s legacy as an award-winning makeup master. Doug trained with movie makeup godfather Dick Smith. He teamed up for years with makeup mastermind John Caglione Jr., and shared an Academy Award™with him for the incredible looks they created for DICK TRACY. Afterward, Drexler immediately marched onto the Paramount lot to beg for his dream job on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” He stayed on for several different Trek series in several different roles over the course of his mind-bending career.

HOW TO ENTER: Submit your costume photo by making a public post on Instagram with the hashtag #TrekStarHalloween. To qualify, photo must include a human being wearing a costume. By using this hashtag, you certify that the person in the photo is actually you. You grant permission for us to use your photo in a video celebrating all the participants. Three prize winners will be randomly selected from all entries.
There are three prizes that will be given away at random to participants.
1. One participant will receive a screen-used Worf Nose
2. A second participant will receive One “Alternate Endings” Skeleton art print
